The TC False Cut is a simple, yet utterly reliable false cut. It can be done blindly, which allows you to maintain eye contact with your audience. It has been a staple in my repertoire for more than thirty years.
Credits notes: R. Paul Wilson informs me that this may be the Pirandello False Cut from Versatile Card Magic (since my books are in storage, I will have to dig into this in the future). There's also the Jackie Clements cut (published without prior knowledge about the existence of the Pirandello) which is the same but with an added subtlety. Paul himself some work on it at the Art of Magic — a multiple shift and a double undercut variation. Serious card students should study all of these.
